In 1986, with just a small down payment, Rick purchased his first parcel of land. It was a beautiful 5 acre lot just down the road from Long Lake in Belgrade, Maine. Luckily, the owner was willing to finance. It was on that property that Rick discovered the true joy and peace of mind that land ownership provides. Rick also discovered how he could help others experience the rewards and benefits of land ownership. It was from that first purchase that Swift River Properties was formed with the on-going belief that: “You shouldn’t have to be rich to own land”.
Today, Swift River Properties is still helping folks realize their dream of land ownership. Hundreds of people, from all walks of life, have benefited from our high standards, land expertise and straight-forward owner financing. Brian
Brian Rhea grew up in the Maine outdoors. As a youth, hunting and fishing were his primary pursuits. He also accompanied his father on land tours and spent countless weekends and summer days clearing paths and building sites for future landowners. Fast forward to 2017 and Brian Rhea graduated with a degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine in Orono and officially made Swift River Properties a family business. We couldn’t be happier!
Brian brings with him a deep appreciation for nature and a passion for all that Maine has to offer. He places a high ethical priority on doing things right, incorporating an environmentally conscious mind into creating land plans with low ecological impact. He is a Mainer through and through - eager to share his knowledge and passion of Maine land with you and your loved ones for generations to come.
